At TONPAY, we are committed to creating the best possible experience for our users. We believe in consistently listening to feedback and refining our systems to meet the needs of our diverse user base. By working on our new E-Commerce platform (more details to come), we have made the decision to revamp the invitation system, ensuring fairness and convenience for all user categories.

Addressing User Concerns

The referral system has been an integral part of TONPAY since the beginning, and while it has been thoroughly tested and almost perfect, we acknowledge that some users encountered challenges with the way it was implemented. One key issue was that referrals were tied to their referrer immediately upon following an invitation link, with no option to change the referrer if they had followed the wrong link by accident. This understandably caused frustration for some users, and we knew it was essential to address this limitation.

Introducing New Invitation Rules

To ensure fairness and convenience for all categories of users, we have carefully reviewed and overhauled the invitation system. The new rules, effective immediately, aim to create a more transparent and flexible framework for referrals:

  1. Referrer Assignment: After following an invitation link, the referral will be assigned to a referrer for a period of 7 days (168 hours). This allows the referrer sufficient time to help the referral with its first purchase.

  2. Referrer Change Window: Once the referral is assigned a referrer, there will be a 24-hour window during which the referrer cannot be changed, even if the referral follows another referrer's link. After this initial 24-hour period, the referral will have the flexibility to change its referrer if needed.

  3. Permanent Sponsorship: When making the first purchase on the TONPAY platform, if the referral has an assigned referrer during the 7-day period, the referrer will become the permanent sponsor of the referral for the next 6 months at a minimum. This creates the bond between the referrer and the referral, rewarding the referrer for their influence.

  4. Inactive Partners Elimination: If a partner does not provide any purchases (either personal or from their referral organization) within a 6-month period, they will lose their sponsor and any referrals they have. In this case, such partner can be invited again by anyone.

Considerations and Fairness

These new rules have been developed through extensive deliberation, taking into account feedback from our users and discussions with our key partners. We believe that these changes will establish a fair, transparent, and convenient system for all users, empowering them to make informed choices.

We’ve also updated all invitation notifications that both referrals and referrers receive through the bot during the invitation process to make it even more transparent and easy to understand for all parties.
